Description

Sunset Boulevard is a compilation album by Elvis Presley, released on 1 August 2025 on RCA/Legacy. It collects recordings from two distinct periods at RCA's Music Center of the World studios in Hollywood: sessions from 1972 and 1975, presented here in newly remixed versions by Matt Ross-Spang, the Grammy-winning engineer and producer known for his work at Sun Studio and his sympathetic approach to classic recordings.

The 1972 sessions, captured during a period of renewed creative focus for Presley, include some of his strongest later-career performances. The 1975 sessions, conducted during a more difficult period personally, nonetheless yielded material of genuine depth and variety. Ross-Spang's remixes aim to strip away some of the heavy-handed overdubs that characterised many original 1970s releases, presenting the performances with greater clarity and a more natural sound.

The album also includes outtake highlights from both sessions, offering a glimpse into the studio process and alternative takes that reveal different dimensions of these performances. Presented across two LPs in a gatefold sleeve with 24 tracks spanning four sides.
