Collection: AC/DC Vinyl Records

Few bands have committed to a sound as completely as AC/DC. Across more than five decades and twenty studio albums, the Young brothers' twin-guitar attack has barely shifted — and that's the point. The band's catalogue rewards listening to an album end-to-end, the way it was sequenced, on vinyl.

The Bon Scott era through 1980 produced some of the most-loved rock records of the 1970s; the Brian Johnson era opened with Back in Black, one of the biggest-selling albums in any genre, and continued through a long and consistent later run. The half-speed-mastered reissues bring the records back to their original cut-from-the-tape sound.

Best AC/DC Albums on Vinyl

Back in Black (1980)
— The Brian Johnson debut, recorded in the wake of Bon Scott's death. "Hells Bells", "You Shook Me All Night Long", the title track. Defining.

Highway to Hell (1979)
— The last Bon Scott album. "Highway to Hell" and "Touch Too Much" — peak band, peak singer.

Powerage (1978)
— Less famous than its siblings, often cited by the band themselves as their favourite. Tighter, leaner, rhythm-section-forward.

Let There Be Rock (1977)
— Their breakthrough internationally. The title track alone is worth the price.
