Collection: Charli XCX Vinyl Records – Brat, Crash & Essential Albums on Vinyl

Charli XCX — Charlotte Aitchison — is the most forward-thinking pop artist of her generation. Born in Cambridge in 1992, she came up writing songs for herself and others through the 2010s before aligning with the late PC Music producer SOPHIE and A. G. Cook on a run of mixtapes and records that essentially invented what hyperpop became.

Brat (2024) was the moment everything converged — a stripped-back, abrasive, emotionally direct record that became one of the cultural events of the year and went on to win the Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album. Its companion remix album Brat and it's completely different but also still brat turned it into something larger still. Crash (2022), the self-titled Charli (2019), Pop 2 (2017) and how i'm feeling now (2020) flank it beautifully. Charli on vinyl is distinctive — the loudness, the spatial clutter, the gloss and grit are all well-represented on the official Atlantic and Asylum pressings. The various coloured-vinyl editions of Brat are already collector's items.

Best Charli XCX Albums on Vinyl

Brat (2024)
Her masterpiece. 360, Von Dutch, Club Classics, Apple, Girl, so confusing (with Lorde) — a record that managed to be both genuinely experimental and a mainstream cultural moment. Produced by A. G. Cook and others. The green-vinyl variants are essential.

Crash (2022)
The final album of her original Atlantic contract. Good Ones, New Shapes (with Christine and the Queens and Caroline Polachek), Beg for You (with Rina Sawayama) — a sharp, confident mainstream pop record made with absolute intentionality.

Charli (2019)
The self-titled album. Gone (with Christine and the Queens), 1999 (with Troye Sivan), Blame It on Your Love (with Lizzo) — a 15-track record of maximalist PC Music-influenced pop that pointed clearly toward what Brat would be.

how i'm feeling now (2020)
The lockdown album, written and recorded in five weeks. Claws, Forever, Party 4 U — Charli's most vulnerable and conceptually tight record. A remarkable document of its moment.

Pop 2 (2017)
The mixtape that introduced the Charli XCX we know now. Out of My Head (with Tove Lo), Unlock It (with Kim Petras), I Got It — co-produced by SOPHIE and A. G. Cook, and still one of the most influential hyperpop records.
