Collection: Kneecap Vinyl Records – Fine Art & Essential Releases on Vinyl

Kneecap are the most unexpected success story in Irish music in decades. The Belfast trio — Mo Chara (Liam Óg Ó Hannaidh), Móglaí Bap (Naoise Ó Cairealláin) and their balaclava-wearing DJ Próvaí (JJ Ó Dochartaigh) — rap primarily in Irish and English, often on the same verse, and have turned what was for years a marginal linguistic position into one of the sharpest pop-cultural propositions of the 2020s.

Their 2024 album Fine Art is a concept record set in a fictional Belfast pub called The Rutz, part party album, part political manifesto, part genuinely funny sketch comedy. Released alongside the self-titled film that premiered at Sundance in early 2024 and took them from cult act to mainstream attention. Kneecap on vinyl is a particular collector's proposition — the Fine Art Tricolour coloured-vinyl edition is already a sought-after release, and the record is genuinely well-produced, mixing hip-hop production with traditional Irish music in ways that reward proper listening on a good stereo.

Best Kneecap Albums on Vinyl

Fine Art (2024)
Their debut album. 3CAG, I'm Flush, Better Way to Live (with Grian Chatten of Fontaines D.C.), Love Making (with Nino Sassone), Harrow Road — a record that balances genuine political weight with stone-cold party tracks. Produced by Toddla T. The Tricolour coloured-vinyl limited edition is the essential version.

Rhino Ket (2019 single)
The track that first brought them wider attention. A three-minute distillation of what the Kneecap proposition is: Irish-language rap, humour, provocation, and a genuinely good hook. Available on various early-singles compilations.

Kneecap: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (2024)
The soundtrack to the self-titled film, featuring tracks by the band alongside score pieces by Michael "Mikey J" Asante. Worth owning as a companion piece to the main album.
