Collection: Nick Drake Vinyl Records
Nick Drake's three studio albums for Island Records, recorded between 1969 and 1972, sit at the centre of English folk music's recorded canon. Almost commercially invisible at the time of release, the records have grown steadily in stature since his death in 1974 — and the songwriting, the fingerpicked guitar work, and the orchestrated arrangements by Robert Kirby on Five Leaves Left and Bryter Layter remain unmatched.
The Island pressings from the period are reference-quality vinyl. The Tuck Box and the recent half-speed-mastered reissues bring the records back to their original cut-from-the-tape sound.

Best Nick Drake Albums on Vinyl
Five Leaves Left (1969)
— The debut. "River Man", "Way to Blue", "Cello Song". One of the most beautifully arranged folk records ever issued.
Pink Moon (1972)
— The third album. Sparse, mostly guitar-and-voice, recorded in two short sessions. The title track and "Place to Be" remain definitive.
Bryter Layter (1971)
— The middle album. More orchestrated and jazz-influenced than its siblings. "Northern Sky", "Hazey Jane II".
