Paul McCartney's post-Beatles output is the most commercially successful and stylistically varied solo catalogue of any 1960s figure. The Wings era — running from Wild Life through Back to the Egg — produced Band on the Run, the McCartney-Lennon-rivalling Venus and Mars and a run of singles that defined 1970s pop-rock — and the solo records bookending Wings (McCartney, Ram, McCartney II) have aged into recognised classics in their own right.

The vinyl pressings have been remastered carefully across the 2010s Archive Collection releases — half-speed-mastered, packaged with the original artwork, and produced from the source tapes. Reference-quality.
