Description

No Heroes is the fifth studio album by Converge, released on the band's own Deathwish Inc label. Recorded and produced by guitarist Kurt Ballou at GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts, it refined the controlled chaos of Jane Doe and You Fail Me into tighter, more direct songwriting without sacrificing an ounce of intensity.

The album opens with Heartache, a blistering sub-two-minute assault that sets the record's tone. No Heroes is one of Converge's most anthemic tracks, built around a driving, near-melodic riff before collapsing into dissonance. Grim Heart/Black Rose pairs Jacob Bannon's throat-shredding delivery with some of Ballou's most inventive guitar work, while Plagues and Bare My Teeth showcase the rhythmic lock between Ben Koller's precise drumming and Nate Newton's churning bass.

This Deathwish Inc reissue presents the album on cloudy clear and black galaxy coloured vinyl.
