DEVO’s debut album is a jagged, ironic, and brilliantly devolved statement of postmodern punk. Produced by Brian Eno, Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo! blends robotic rhythms, absurdist lyrics, and mutated pop hooks into a sonic manifesto of anti-conformity. From the twitchy opener Uncontrollable Urge to their warped cover of Satisfaction, the album is both a satire and celebration of late-70s disillusionment.
This limited edition white vinyl pressing was released as part of Rhino’s annual Rocktober campaign, housed in a standard sleeve with reproduction inner. A cult classic reissued for audiophiles and art-punk archivists.
