Cracker Island is the eighth studio album by Gorillaz — Damon Albarn's virtual band featuring the animated characters 2D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russel Hobbs — released on 24 February 2023 on Parlophone. Produced by Gorillaz and Greg Kurstin, the album was recorded in Los Angeles and marks a significant sonic step for the group: tighter, more cohesive and more immediately melodic than much of their recent work, drawing on funk, psychedelia and electronic pop.

The album's ten tracks unfold as a loose California cult narrative, with the title track setting the scene alongside a stellar cast of collaborators. Thundercat appears on the opening "Cracker Island", while Tame Impala's Kevin Parker brings his signature psychedelic sheen to "New Gold". Bad Bunny adds a Latin flavour to "Tormenta", Stevie Nicks makes a guest appearance on "Oil", and Beck and Bootie Brown feature on "Tarantula". The album received widespread critical acclaim, with particular praise for its warmth, focus and the strength of Albarn's songwriting.
