ye is the eighth studio album by Kanye West, released on G.O.O.D. Music and Def Jam Recordings. It was the first of a series of seven-track albums produced by West at a creative retreat in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, a period that also yielded collaborative projects with Kid Cudi (Kids See Ghosts) and production work for Pusha T, Nas and Teyana Taylor.

At just seven tracks and 23 minutes, ye is one of the most compressed major-label rap albums in recent memory. The brevity is deliberate: West reportedly scrapped the entire original version of the album and rewrote it in the weeks before release. The result is raw, unpolished and deeply personal. I Thought About Killing You opens with an extended spoken-word passage that shifts between confession and provocation. Yikes addresses mental health and medication over a skittering beat. All Mine is brazen and playful, Wouldn't Leave reflects on his marriage, and Ghost Town (featuring Kid Cudi, 070 Shake and John Legend) builds into one of the most emotionally expansive moments in West's discography. Violent Crimes closes the album with a tender reflection on fatherhood.

The album cover, a photograph of the Wyoming mountains taken on West's phone with the words "I hate being Bi-Polar its awesome" written in green, was shot on the day of release. This pressing presents all seven tracks on a single LP.
