Description

The debut that defined a genre. Pronounced 'Leh-'Nerd 'Skin-'Nerd introduced Lynyrd Skynyrd’s triple-guitar assault and Southern swagger to the world, blending blues grit, country soul, and hard rock muscle. This Music On Vinyl reissue is pressed on 180g audiophile-grade vinyl and housed in a heavyweight gatefold sleeve, faithfully reproducing the original artwork and liner notes.

Produced by Al Kooper and recorded at Studio One in Doraville, Georgia, the album features some of the most enduring tracks in rock history—including the epic Free Bird, the defiant Gimme Three Steps, and the haunting Tuesday’s Gone. Every note was rehearsed to perfection in the band’s infamous “Hell House,” resulting in a debut that’s raw, uncompromising, and unmistakably Skynyrd.
