Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi - The Four Seasons is a radical reimagining of one of the most familiar works in the classical canon. Richter retained roughly 25 percent of Vivaldi's original material and rebuilt the rest, layering minimalist patterns, electronic textures and new harmonic material around the surviving Baroque framework. The result is a work that sounds simultaneously ancient and modern.

Performed by Elena Urioste with the Chineke! Orchestra, this edition captures the shimmering, hypnotic quality of Richter's conception. Spring 1 opens with a pulsing, repetitive figure before Vivaldi's familiar melody emerges, transformed. The Summer movements build to moments of fierce intensity, while Winter is reimagined as a slowly evolving ambient landscape. The work found enormous popularity on streaming platforms and became one of Deutsche Grammophon's best-selling releases of the 21st century.
