A live-wire document of Detroit’s radical rock underground, Kick Out The Jams captures MC5 in full revolutionary flight—raw, political, and sonically explosive. Recorded live at the Grande Ballroom in 1968, the album blends garage rock fury with free jazz chaos, setting the blueprint for punk and hard rock to come.

This Rhino reissue is pressed on 180g vinyl and housed in a heavyweight gatefold sleeve, cut from the original analog masters and remastered at Bernie Grundman Studios. Includes the uncensored version of the title track, complete with Brother J.C. Crawford’s legendary invocation: “Right now... right now... it’s time to... KICK OUT THE JAMS, MOTHERF***ERS!”
