MM..Food is the second studio album from MF DOOM, originally released in November 2004 on Rhymesayers Entertainment. Built around an extended metaphor linking food with hip-hop — rapping as sustenance, rhymes as recipes — the album stands as one of the most conceptually coherent records in underground hip-hop. Every track title references food; every bar reinforces the conceit with DOOM’s characteristically labyrinthine wordplay and disarming wit.

Produced almost entirely by DOOM under his alias The Metal Fingered Villain, the record draws on dusty soul samples, off-kilter loops, and cartoon dialogue to create a sonic palette that feels simultaneously grimy and playful. Standout cuts include Hoe Cakes, Rapp Snitch Knishes (featuring Mr. Fantastik), and One Beer — the last produced by Madlib and previewing the creative chemistry that would define the pair’s later work. The album was mastered for this reissue by Morgan Garcia.

This 20th Anniversary Edition marks the first major reissue of MM..Food on vinyl since its original pressing, presented on striking Sweetart Marble coloured vinyl across four sides. A fitting commemoration of an album that has only grown in stature in the two decades since DOOM’s passing in 2020.
