Description

Shout at the Devil is the second studio album by Motley Crue, produced by Tom Werman. A significant departure from the raw glam punk of their debut, the album introduced a heavier, darker sound built around Mick Mars's down-tuned guitar riffs and the band's embrace of theatrical, pentagram-laden imagery. It became Motley Crue's commercial breakthrough, eventually selling over four million copies in the United States.

Looks That Kill remains one of the band's signature tracks, its opening riff instantly recognisable. The title track Shout at the Devil is a fist-pumping anthem anchored by Tommy Lee's powerful drumming. Too Young to Fall in Love pairs a driving bassline from Nikki Sixx with one of Vince Neil's strongest vocal hooks. Ten Seconds to Love and Red Hot maintain the album's momentum, while the band's cover of the Beatles' Helter Skelter channels the original's chaos through a heavier lens.

This BMG reissue presents a 40th anniversary remaster of the album on vinyl.
