Description

Too Fast for Love is the debut studio album by Motley Crue, originally self-released on the band's own Leathur Records before being picked up by Elektra. Raw, scrappy and driven by youthful energy, it captures the band at the start of their ascent through the Los Angeles Sunset Strip scene.

Live Wire opens with a snarling riff from Mick Mars that became a staple of the band's live set for decades. Public Enemy #1 and Come On and Dance pair Nikki Sixx's propulsive basslines with Tommy Lee's straightforward, punchy drumming. The title track Too Fast for Love is the album's emotional centrepiece, a ballad-inflected track that hints at the arena-rock ambitions the band would fully embrace on later records. Piece of Your Action and Take Me to the Top deliver the album's most energetic moments, while On with the Show closes with an extended outro.

This BMG reissue presents a 40th anniversary remaster of the album on vinyl.
