Description

Nowhere is the debut studio album from Ride, originally released in October 1990 on Creation Records. It arrived at the forefront of the shoegaze movement and became one of its defining records, reaching number eleven on the UK Albums Chart. Built around the dual guitar interplay of Andy Bell and Mark Gardener, the album layers dense walls of distortion over melodic songwriting that still cuts through thirty years on.

Recorded at Blackwing Studios and mixed by Alan Moulder, Nowhere moves from the propulsive opener Seagull through the kaleidoscopic shimmer of Dreams Burn Down to the album’s emotional centre, Vapour Trail — a track that has endured as one of the great guitar songs of its era. All songs written by Ride and published by Kobalt Music Group.

This 2022 limited edition reissue on Wichita is pressed on blue Transparent Curacao vinyl with an embossed gatefold sleeve. Licensed from Ride and manufactured by Optimal Media GmbH.
