Description

Supertramp's sixth studio album Breakfast In America was released in March 1979 and became the band's commercial peak, reaching number one in multiple countries and selling over 20 million copies worldwide. Produced by the band with Peter Henderson, the album balanced Roger Hodgson's melodic pop instincts with Rick Davies's grittier keyboard-driven rock, creating a record that crossed from progressive and art rock into mainstream pop without losing its musical sophistication.

The album features some of the most recognisable songs of the late 1970s, including The Logical Song, Breakfast In America, Goodbye Stranger and Take The Long Way Home. The closing track Child Of Vision stretches to over seven minutes, a reminder of the band's progressive roots. This A&M Records reissue in the Back To Black series presents the album as a picture disc, featuring the iconic Mick Haggerty cover artwork of a waitress holding a glass of orange juice in front of the New York skyline.
