Description

Wish is the ninth studio album from The Cure, originally released in April 1992 on Fiction Records. It reached number one in the UK and number two in the US, becoming the band’s most commercially successful record. Friday I’m In Love became their biggest hit single, but the album runs far deeper than that — from the surging opener Open through the epic From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea to the aching To Wish Impossible Things, it covers as much ground as anything in the band’s catalogue.

Produced by The Cure and co-produced and engineered by David M. Allen, with Steve Whitfield engineering. The lineup features Robert Smith on vocals, guitar, six-string bass, and keyboards, alongside Simon Gallup on bass and keyboards, Porl Thompson on guitar, Perry Bamonte on guitar, six-string bass, and keyboards, and Boris Williams on drums and percussion. This edition has been remastered by Miles Showell and Robert Smith.

This 30th Anniversary Edition is a 2× picture disc set in a gatefold sleeve with large die-cut sections front and rear to display the discs, finished with spot gloss varnish detail. Released for Black Friday 2022. Pressed by Schallplattenfabrik Pallas GmbH, lacquer cut at SST GmbH.
