Bloc Party Vinyl Records

Bloc Party arrived in 2005 with Silent Alarm — one of the defining records of the mid-2000s UK indie wave and one that has aged considerably better than most of its peers. The interplay between Russell Lissack's angular guitar lines and Matt Tong's drumming gave the band a rhythmic character distinct from anything else on the post-punk-revival scene.

The records reward vinyl playback partly because the production was unusually dense for the era — Paul Epworth's mixes have a lot going on, and the LP format gives the upper-mid frequencies room.
