Collection: Elbow Vinyl Records

Elbow have built one of the most consistent and quietly ambitious catalogues in modern British rock. From 2001's Asleep in the Back through the Mercury-winning The Seldom Seen Kid in 2008 and onwards, Guy Garvey's lyric writing has sat at the centre of records that owe as much to Peter Gabriel and Talk Talk as to any of the band's indie peers.

The records reward vinyl playback partly because Craig Potter's production work is unusually patient — the arrangements breathe, and the LP format gives them room.

Best Elbow Albums on Vinyl

The Seldom Seen Kid (2008)
— Their breakthrough and Mercury winner. "One Day Like This", "Grounds for Divorce", "The Bones of You".

Build a Rocket Boys! (2011)
— Quieter and more reflective than its predecessor. "Lippy Kids", "Open Arms".

Asleep in the Back (2001)
— The debut. Slow-burn, late-night, oddly timeless.

Little Fictions (2017)
— Their most experimental record in years, written after drummer Richard Jupp's departure. "Magnificent (She Says)" and "K2".
