Collection: Rosalía Vinyl Records – Motomami, El Mal Querer & Essential Albums on Vinyl
Rosalía Vila Tobella was born in Sant Esteve Sesrovires, a small town outside Barcelona, and spent years studying flamenco at the Catalonia College of Music before breaking through as one of the most inventive pop artists of her generation. Her debut album Los Ángeles in 2017 was a stripped-back flamenco record made with guitarist Raül Refree. El Mal Querer followed in 2018 — her graduation thesis reworked into a full-length concept album — and won two Latin Grammys. Motomami in 2022 transformed her again, fusing reggaeton, experimental pop, bolero, and flamenco into something entirely her own. It won the Latin Grammy for Album of the Year and made her the first solo woman to win Best Album at the Premios MIN.
Her records are a genuine treat on vinyl. Motomami in particular was produced by Rosalía alongside Pharrell Williams, Noah Goldstein, and a team of collaborators who built the album around rapid shifts in tempo, texture, and style — the kind of dynamic range that a good vinyl pressing brings out beautifully. El Mal Querer uses sparse flamenco palmas and handclaps sitting against heavy trap production, and the spatial detail rewards careful listening. Recent coloured vinyl editions — including the Motomami pink pressing — have become sought-after collectors' items. If you want contemporary pop that pushes the form, Rosalía on vinyl is essential.

Best Rosalia Albums on Vinyl
Motomami (2022)Rosalía's boldest and most ambitious record. Co-produced with Pharrell Williams, Noah Goldstein, and a rotating cast of collaborators, it moves between reggaeton (Saoko, Bizcochito), experimental ballads (Hentai, La Fama with The Weeknd), and intricate vocal arrangements (Delirio de Grandeza). It won the Latin Grammy for Album of the Year in 2022. The pink coloured vinyl has become a modern collectors' piece.
El Mal Querer (2018)Originally submitted as her final thesis at Catalonia College of Music, El Mal Querer is a flamenco-pop concept album loosely based on the thirteenth-century Occitan novel Flamenca. Malamente became a global hit, and the album won two Latin Grammys including Best Alternative Music Album. Produced with El Guincho, it marries flamenco palmas and vocal runs with trap beats and sparse electronic textures. A landmark of contemporary Spanish pop.
Los Ángeles (2017)Rosalía's debut, made with guitarist Raül Refree and rooted entirely in traditional flamenco. The album consists largely of folk songs about death, performed with just voice and Spanish guitar. It was critically acclaimed on release and laid the groundwork for everything she would do afterwards. A quiet, intimate record that sounds lovely on vinyl.
LUX (2025)Her fourth studio album, released in 2025, marked another sonic reinvention — moving towards orchestral arrangement, classical vocal technique, and deeply spiritual themes. Recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra, it pushes her songwriting into new territory while preserving the restless curiosity that has defined her career from the start.
