Collection: Stevie Ray Vaughan Vinyl Records

Stevie Ray Vaughan reignited electric blues guitar in the 1980s. The Austin-born guitarist's run of records with Double Trouble — Texas Flood, Couldn't Stand the Weather, Soul to Soul and In Step — established him as the most consequential blues-rock player to emerge since the late-1960s British boom. His death in a helicopter crash in 1990 cut the catalogue short at four studio albums.

The vinyl pressings, particularly the Analogue Productions and Acoustic Sounds half-speed-mastered reissues, are reference-quality. The Stratocaster tone and the trio dynamics need the dynamic range that LP playback gives.
