Description

Con Todo El Mundo is the second studio album by Houston trio Khruangbin, whose music draws on Thai funk, Middle Eastern melodies, surf rock, dub reggae and West African guitar traditions without ever sounding like a pastiche. The band's distinctive sound is built on Laura Lee's deep, melodic bass lines, Mark Speer's reverb-drenched guitar and DJ's understated, pocket drumming.

Maria Tambien showcases the band's ability to create hypnotic, groove-based music of extraordinary subtlety, its bass-led arrangement and understated vocals demonstrating less-is-more musicianship. Evan Finds the Third Room is a shimmering, guitar-driven instrumental that became one of the band's most popular tracks. Friday Morning evokes sun-drenched Middle Eastern landscapes. Lady and Man and Calf Born in Winter bring more overtly psychedelic textures, while Rules is a dub-influenced workout. The album's title, "With All the World," reflects the band's global musical outlook.
