Khruangbin Vinyl Records

Khruangbin — Houston-based, Thai-funk-influenced, instrumental — emerged in the late 2010s as one of the most distinctive bands of their era. The trio of Laura Lee, Mark Speer and DJ Johnson pull from Thai funk, dub, Iranian psychedelia, Spanish guitar music and 70s soul, and arrange the whole thing around long-form grooves designed for unhurried listening.

The records are built for vinyl. Mark Speer's clean guitar tone and Laura Lee's bass mixes need the LP format to land properly — streaming compression robs them of presence.
