Collection: Al Green Vinyl Records

Al Green's run on Hi Records through the early 1970s produced one of the great catalogues in American soul music. Working with producer Willie Mitchell and the Hi rhythm section, Green built a sound around understated arrangements, his own falsetto, and grooves slow enough to live in. The records were as influential on neo-soul thirty years later as they were on the charts at the time.

The Hi pressings were cut hot and warm; modern reissues from the original tapes restore the depth.
