Collection: Foo Fighters Vinyl Records

Few post-grunge careers have lasted as well as Foo Fighters. Dave Grohl built the band from a solo project recorded in a week after Nirvana's end into one of the most consistent and stadium-sized rock acts of the past three decades. The catalogue runs from quieter alternative records through arena rock to the analog-tape experimentalism of Wasting Light.

The vinyl pressings of the Butch Vig–produced records in particular are excellent — Wasting Light was famously recorded entirely to tape in Grohl's garage.

Best Foo Fighters Albums on Vinyl

The Colour and the Shape (1997)
— Their second album and the breakthrough. "Everlong", "Monkey Wrench", "My Hero". A peak.

Wasting Light (2011)
— Recorded to tape with Butch Vig in Grohl's garage. "Walk", "Rope", "These Days". A late-career high point.

There Is Nothing Left to Lose (1999)
— Their most underrated record. "Learn to Fly", "Breakout", "Aurora".

Wasting Light (2011)
— already listed; deliberately omitted from this slot. Replace with: **One by One (2002)** — Heavier and more aggressive than its neighbours. "All My Life", "Times Like These".
